About the role

Our expanding IT team of 25 have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Technical Support Analyst to join our Corby office on a permanent, full-time basis. You will report to our Infrastructure Solutions Architect and will deliver projects as part of our developing IT Infrastructure at Joules in addition to providing 2nd/3rd level technical support across our multi-channel business.

 Working closely with our Infrastructure Solutions Architect, you will contribute to the design and delivery of technical projects related to both the Joules IT infrastructure and in support of projects related to Joules business systems. You will enhance the service from IT by developing a continuous improvement plan for products, tools and techniques. Additionally, you will support the handover of projects into production to deliver brilliant IT services fit for purpose.  

 The candidate

To be considered for our IT Technical Support Analyst job, you will be service and customer orientated and have excellent interpersonal skills to supply technical information to non-technical colleagues. You will have great attention to detail and accuracy and will be flexible to work unsociable as an inevitable part of the role. Crucially, you will have experience in supporting and implementing the following:

  • Microsoft System Centre (SCOM) and its use in monitoring and managing systems health
  • Microsoft Active Directory management, administration and support including Group Policy Configuration and Deployment
  • Support, administration and management of Exchange 2010 and the associated clients
  • Support, administration and management of a Microsoft Hyper-V environment
  • Windows server 2008 and 2012 support, administration and management
  • Windows desktop and Office 2010 support, administration and management including deployment via SCCM
  • Network administration and support including TCP/IP, LAN infrastructure (switches, VLANS, firewalls), WAN infrastructure (Routers, MPLS, ADSL), access control (Juniper)and wi-fi deployment and management
  • Backup and SAN technologies, such as Barracuda and Nimble.

It would be highly desirable if you have experience working in a retail environment; or if you have experience implementing the following: Shoretel, Virtual Desktop, Linux RedHat, or experience implementing Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity practices.
