Merchandiser (Accessories/Homeware) 6 month maternity cover
Joules have an exciting opening for an experienced Merchandiser to join our hugely successful Accessories and Homeware Department on a 6-month maternity cover contract.
As our Accessories and Homeware Merchandiser, your key responsibilities will be:
- Trading and Planning – Responsible for weekly departmental trading, maximising sales, and taking actions forward into future seasons, therefore landing departmental KPI’s. Plan, forecast, report on sales and business performance. Work alongside the Buyer, being accountable for range progression in the UK and internationally.
- Branch Merchandising – Work with the Branch Merchandising teams, ensuring stores have correct mix/depth of stock to maximise sales. Liaising with the Visual Mechanising and Marketing functions to ensure retail channel run smoothly.
- Reporting and Analysis – Collating information and analysing sales data to form key business strategy. Attend and present at planning meetings and contribute to company strategy and policy made at Board level as required.
- Managerial Duties – Plan and manage department activities in accordance with agreed budgets and timescales. Challenge team to consistently be proactive with relevant sales information. Accountable for progression of junior, Assistant and Trainee Merchandisers.
