Garment Technician Overview
Joules now have an exciting opportunity for a Garment Technician to join our Technical team within our rapidly expanding Special Purchases team. This role will be based in our busy technical team in our Head Office in Market Harborough, Leicestershire on a permanent, full-time basis.
Reporting to our Head of Global Technical and Quality Assurance, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and improving the quality and fit of our products across multi categories for our Special Purchases. Interfacing with our Special Purchases division and liaising with our supply routes, you’ll have excellent communication skills and will be able to prioritise your work in order to meet strict deadlines. Key responsibilities of the role will involve producing technical specifications for the designated product area and ensuring suppliers fully understand and apply instructions. You will approve and maintain the critical path; ensuring manufacturing costs are within budget. As the Garment Technologist, you will make improvements and commercial decisions about the product samples to reflect brands quality levels.
To be considered for this role, you will be an experienced Garment Technologist with extensive knowledge across multi-product categories. You will be qualified in a relevant Textile or Fashion related qualification and you will embrace new technologies and ways of working. It would be advantageous to have prior experience within a pattern cutting or factory environment. We are looking for a resilient, focused and confident individual who is a strong planner and is able to meet all deadline dates to the critical path. Experience of the using a PLM system would be a distinct advantage and background in design would be a bonus.
