About the role

Joules is a premium lifestyle brand with an authentic heritage and our quality, Britishness, family values, colour and humour make us stand out from the crowd. We are a true multi-channel lifestyle brand, and carefully design clothing, footwear and accessories for women, men, and children with personality to match those of its customers’ colourful outlook!

In the past year, Joules has grown from a privately owned business to a successful PLC, and our strategy is to continue to roll-out stores in the UK and Republic of Ireland; grow international business; and expand the product range available to our customers. In 2016, we were proud winners of The Drapers’ ‘Mainstream Brand of the Year Award.

We now have an exciting opening for a Senior Buyer to join our successful Womenswear department for a 12- month Maternity Cover contract based at our Head Office in Market Harborough. We are a 60-minute train journey from St. Pancras and we are within a commutable distance from Leicester, Coventry, Northampton and Huntingdon.

Reporting to the Head of Buying and Design for Women’s and Accessories the ideal candidate will have the capability to work across a broad, multi product area and must also have a commercial product development background.  This role is responsible for all departmental sourcing and development but will encompass the ability to initiate all product design and trend management. Due to our growth into international markets, the Womenswear buyer will be liaising directly with US and European wholesale customers and developing and delivering an international product strategy to meet all customers’ needs.

The successful candidate will be an experienced Womenswear buyer and will have a strong understanding of the complexities of buying within a truly multichannel business, with a demonstrable track record of delivering results and the ability to predict future trends. It would be highly desirable to have wholesale experience in US and European markets. You will also ideally be educated to degree level in a fashion business or buying related qualification.

A real passion for the fashion retail industry is also a must, along with the ability to select design that fits with our brand.   This is an amazing opportunity for the right individual to add value to one of the UK’s brightest, boldest lifestyle brands, so if you do not want to miss out on being part of something special - send your CV today.
